Kościelisko – located within 7-9 km from Zakopane city centre, on the border of the Tatra National Park. Chochołowska and Kościeliska valleys, which are beautiful during every season of the year, are located only a walk away. Tourists walking towards the valleys will walk through a beautiful, old forest, which does not constitute a part of the reserve. During the late summer and in autumn the forest is full of mushrooms and berries. Czarny Dunajec mountain river passes by the area, where fishermen can look for trouts. Cicha Woda /Quiet Water/ glade over Czarny Dunajec river is a perfect place for a picnic with grill or bonfires. There are several bicycle routes passing through Kościelisko. Within the area there are several T-bar lifts for beginning and intermediate skiers. The nearest ski lift for advanced skiers is Szymoszkowa resort (3km).
